Advance Patterns June 1950.
New York. Advance Pattern Company, Inc.. 1950. 1098 pps. Folio 13" x 23". First edition. Hardcover. good copy with no dust jacket. This pattern book shows how our mothers and grandmothers dressed in 1950. The styles are divided into 11 sections. Many cinch waisted ladies must have lived in the 1950's. There are several pages of apron patters, a "Junior Miss" section for teens, an import adptations section as well as all the regularly expected groupings - (11 tabbed sections in all). The numbering is odd in that after the cover and another page, it begins at page 29. Other areas include additional unnumbered pages between consecutively numbered pages. It does not appear that any pages have been removed. The book has seen wear and probably was a part of a fabric store or tailor's collection. In general the condition is good.
